Editorial

I am finding making this figure difficult, I actually think I'm trying to hard and I need to let him go. In all my research and favourite Illustrators its the free-ness of the figure I admire, the simplicity and the creative shapes, so I don't know why I cant accept that in my own work.

I'm starting to have a soft spot for him now, my Mr.Benn look alike.

Here Wei uses a simple colour palette and informative shapes.
I want to aim for a similar illustration for my editorial, in terms of composion, colour, print textures and simplistic style.

Editorial Development

For this brief I was asked to choose a newspaper article to illustrate it to a given layout.
I choose and article about game shows being like a child's toy played by adults.
I decided to base it on a child's toy car (the red and yellow one we all owned in childhood) and to exaggerate an adult using it, my chosen media will be paper collage and to concentrate on shapes.
